Patritoism - By Waqas M Khan

Patriotism and nationalism are two perfectly different concepts, the distinction between which is sometimes not understood. Patriotism is a natural and instinctive human feeling, whereas nationalism is not a sentiment, but an ideology. The...former is sentimental, whereas the latter is a pseudo-creed on which the instinct and sentiment are based. Islam does not forbid loving one's own country, in fact it is supported. The love for the country is great and every Pakistani should have it, But the love should not be greater than the love for Allah, His Shariah, His Messenger and his Sunnah!!

Muslims should be united on the basis of faith alone. And not be divided and base their love and hate on territorial boundaries. Love for Pakistan should not lead the rulers and the nation to make laws or develop strategies which clash with the Quran and Sunnah. In fear of being bombed back to stone ages, Pakistan should not side with the Kuffars and bomb and fight fellow Muslims. Etc Etc...

If Soveriegnty is for Allah alone and not for the people (secular democracy), Islam is supreme than Pakistan, Quran & Sunnah supreme than Constitution. If we are not killing Muslims on behalf of the Kuffars. If we are not waging a collective war with Allah and His Messenger (Interest/Lease) and If we have the Ideology of Islam and Muhammad SAW established in this beloved gift (Pakistan) of Allah.. then ONLY Happy Independence. Fear Allah that this freedom may be taken away.

Chand Raat or Lailat ul Jaiza

And Ramazan just passed by and we have learnt this a hundred times growing up that the famous hadees that LANAT HO US SHAKHS PER JISNAY RAMAZAN MIEN MAAFI NA KERWAI HO....

So we missed this one more chance,

Then we had the last ashra, then the taaq raats.....and yes we didn't make use of them all....

And when the entire ramazan blessings are summed into one night, what does it make up.

Yes LAILAT UL JAIZA.....and oh why would we pray on this night, we have to go out in the markets , shops , hangouts to spoil this last blessing for us, right ?

Whoever stands up (in worship) in the nights preceding the two Eids expecting rewards from his Lord, his heart will not die when the other hearts will die. (Ibn Majah)

I won't talk much here ... it's just simple ... It's like a free hit on the last ball when you need a 6 of the last ball.

Make use of the night yes chand raat if you can.

And just as you are going to move into the Eid Day, celeberate with your friends, family, relatives and loved ones. Trying doing all the right things and be happy and share happiness why can't we just add exponential of Sawab to it so we may save ourselves on the day of resurrection. How can we do it?

I have listed the 8 DO's of the most perfect man of the both universe (Muhammad SAW) and definitely completing these on the day of Eid can get us blessed in exponentials.
  1. To wake up early.
  2. To use Miswak.
  3. To take a shower.
  4. To put on one's best clothes.
  5. To use ‘Itr (Scent).
  6. To eat something sweet, preferably dates before the ‘Eid prayer.
  7. To recite Takbir-ut-Tashriq (Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La Ilaha Illallahu, Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahilhamd) in a loud voice while going to the ‘Eid prayer.
  8. To proceed to the ‘Eid prayer one way and to return home from another way.

Wishing all my followers a nice Eid Ul Fitr !!

Aakhir Hum Kya Hain ?

THAY TO WO AAB'AA TUMHARAY
PER TUM KYA HO
HATH PER HATH DHARAY
MUNTAZIRI E FIRDAA'AN HO

These are the thoughts that run up my mind every moment when I hear people blaming
  • Airlines for the crash
  • Media blaming government for floods
  • People blaming DEMOCRACY the one they chose themselves
  • And lastly blaming ethnic and political parties on self judgement basis.
Well yes they are not all angels but lets have some real accountability for what we have done in terms of reality before we sit down and play the YE BURA HA WO BURA HA game.

Everyone knows that the dear Mr.Z is in France with his kids and I know his visit in Normandy is important than the nation but lets talk about ourselves that how we are reacting to it.

  • How many of us have actually discussed about the Ramadan for people of who have lost homes and thought up of a plan ?
  • How many of us came up with safety plans and gave education to people in terms of flood crisis or for that matter plane crash crisis ?
  • Did we gather the clothes at our homes that are not in our use and made sure Edhi and foundations of trust got them so they can get it to people who have lost everything ?
  • And besides these all we all know these are signs of Almighty's anger on us on our deeds. Did we pray for forgiveness for all of our actions so Allah may protect us from these bad times.
And like everyone knows
"Sirf Us Qaum Ki Taqdeer Badalti Ha Jo Apni Taqdeer Badalna Janti Ha"

Change & Get up Before It's Late !!

The Nation Needs You !!

Mien Nikla O Gaddi Le Ke !!

How simple it is to get a driving license in my country ? Yes, we all know this ... How simple it is to drive out on the roads and reach our destination ? We all know that even... So what is more important are the simple etiquettes that we ought to know while we drive there on the streets as we are not the only ones and neither do we pay tax enough to own these streets. So let's see a a few of things we all should look at.

1. The BLUE light on your dashboard panel indicates HIGH BEAM which is supposed to be at OFF MODE specially while driving with in the city. When in parking areas turn off your headlights even, the parking lights are provided right for the cause.

2. Overtaking from the left is at not only at YOUR OWN RISK but you are risking life of possible pedestrians and parked cars.

3. If the vehicle ahead of you slows down you are supposed to signal INDICATOR , WAIT(so the cars coming in can have a second or two to see) And then slowly move to the FASTER LANE on the right.

4. The rear view mirror in the car has a LEVER , which is NOT FOR ADJUSTING positions. It is provided to be used to adjust LIGHTS in inverted mode so when cars behind you are pushing with HIGH BEAM you are not FLASHED !!

5. The pedestrians looking at you from the roadside are actually waiting for you to come close so they may jump in. Adjust your brakes and slow down accordingly.

These may not be covering every things that needs to be done out at the streets while driving but these are common WORST PRACTICES I found across the many SELF PROCLAIMED great drivers I have met.

I just hope we can first correct ourselves with these blunders before pointing out others and the good our IKHLAQ is the better we get in return......

Facebook Ko Takalluf Ha Humsay Agar !!

Lars Vilks a Swedish Cartoonist first did it in 2007 and this year he crossed the line again. Yes, for no reason he entered the hearts of the Muslims and stabbed the entire nation with his cartoons over Rahamtul lil Aalameen Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). A few muslim students present there couldn't take it any further and mocked the guy in every manner they could.

The Jewish / Christ / anti Muslim lobby would have never stood to this and another Scandinavian within two days came up with a social networking crusade over Muslims. He wanted to grew more Lars Vilks and thus he started inviting all alike mind eds to stab the Muslims again on May 20, 2010.

The facebook fan page has been created to hurt our hearts, our souls, our emaan, our love for the prophet (SAW), the prophet for which his real followers faced all the pain in the world. Now when it's up to us, what pain are we willing to suffer?

Scared to go against this open crusade just because of our personal lives ? Not to leave face book for it matters us more in this world ?

It Hurts More when someone we trust more doesn't rise to the occasion and we can't hurt our holy prophet if we can't rise to the occasion. If we asking them to stop on this is extremism than I and all the billions and billions of Muslims who are still alive are all proud extremists.

This blog is a simple message to all the Jewish/Christ/anti-muslim lobby
" You all will pay for this , but you can not get the Muslims separated nor down. "

Mujrim To Mien Bhi Hoon

While I was rubbing my cell phone's button's continuously for tons of sms , my colleage took the phone from my hand. This small lil phone which I always keep as a handy back up to carry along in un safe places. That's another story that why I do that but coming back to this phone he asked me frankly what is the price you bought this one for. I turned my head to him and with a grinning smile, it's cheap. Just a thousand one. He further asked me where did you buy it from and my answer was a local retail shop. Many people previously have asked me the price but none brought me to the thinking point which he did.
He asked me a question which I never expected. He said, "You bought a phone worth 2500 for its condition in 1000 rs. You didn't get the box the accessories and the charger along with.". I nodded my head and he added, "this confirms that the shopkeeper bought a snatched phone and you my friend carried out the chain buying it for yourself. Although you have a reciept and made a proper sale but this doesn't justify it."
I stood up from the chair , made a slight walk and my thoughts confirmed me that yes he was right. One way I was being part of the chain. A thousand rupee phone may not be a matter for me but how important it was for the man from whom it was snatched. I seriously can't have any idea. Thus I realized that I in no way can be a part of this chain and I have to bring to justice those responsible. I asked the local CPLC helpline right away about the IMEI history of this phone that whether this was snatched ever or not but there was no complaint recorded. This still couldn't give me relief as I can't hold something in my hand which makes me doubtful about its origin. On my way back home I visited that Local Mobile Shop and this is what shocked me. The shopkeeper denied that he ever sold me any such phone. My bad, I never wrote the IMEI no. on the sale reciept the day I bought it so couldn't prove anything against him.
I walked back home with this prayer that may Allah keep me out of this chain and forgive me for if I am responsible being a part of it. Will be glad if anyone of you can guide me the right way how to stop these chains and how can we stop it individually.

Kala Kapra Jajta Ha ??

As I drive in my city I continue to take observations and understand the behavior of people I live with. For a few days I have been observing numerous cars that pass by on the roads of Karachi. What surprises me about these cars was I find out several of these cars are tied up under the rear bumper with a small piece of BLACK CLOTHING that hangs up there.

After doing a bit query about the concept in my circle of people I came across to know that the black cloth represents to avoid NAZAR, which sounded well as many of the muslims follow tying up black things for the purpose. But the question that continued to pop in my mind was why the black cloth could never be placed inside the car or even tied at the front bumper. Why is it always the left rear side of the rear bumper? Is it getting a part of another RASAM and people are unaware of why they are doing it?

I wonder Pakistani assembled cars will soon have these cloths as a part of accessories. People hanging the shoe at the rear bumper will be getting a "BATA" or an "EBH" shoe hanging at the back for free with a saloon model.

My point of writing all this up here is to just pass the message to all those who spend several money on there cars and by tying up one piece of black cloth think that they have done the job done. I have my request to all of them is whenever we spend all this money on our cars and put up these clothes thinking to avoid NAZAR why can't we just give away a little amount of sadqa for these luxuries and also help the society and the country in a better way too. My respect to everyone's ideology but our actions and prayers are more important if we can bring anything good to anyone's lives.
