Patriotism and nationalism are two perfectly different concepts, the distinction between which is sometimes not understood. Patriotism is a natural and instinctive human feeling, whereas nationalism is not a sentiment, but an ideology. The...former is sentimental, whereas the latter is a pseudo-creed on which the instinct and sentiment are based. Islam does not forbid loving one's own country, in fact it is supported. The love for the country is great and every Pakistani should have it, But the love should not be greater than the love for Allah, His Shariah, His Messenger and his Sunnah!!
Muslims should be united on the basis of faith alone. And not be divided and base their love and hate on territorial boundaries. Love for Pakistan should not lead the rulers and the nation to make laws or develop strategies which clash with the Quran and Sunnah. In fear of being bombed back to stone ages, Pakistan should not side with the Kuffars and bomb and fight fellow Muslims. Etc Etc...
If Soveriegnty is for Allah alone and not for the people (secular democracy), Islam is supreme than Pakistan, Quran & Sunnah supreme than Constitution. If we are not killing Muslims on behalf of the Kuffars. If we are not waging a collective war with Allah and His Messenger (Interest/Lease) and If we have the Ideology of Islam and Muhammad SAW established in this beloved gift (Pakistan) of Allah.. then ONLY Happy Independence. Fear Allah that this freedom may be taken away.
